RIGHT ON TIME  1984 – 2010

This horse holds a special place for Take and launched his Eventing career.  Bought from Swedish Event rider Erik Duvander in 1994 ‘Beau’ by the age of 10 had already had an illustrious career.  At only 8 years old he was reserve for the Olympic team in Barcelona and the following year he completed Badminton and was on the Gold medal winning team at the European Championships for Sweden.  In 1994 he was on the Swedish WEG team.

After being bought by Take Beau completed 9 international events at 3* level and above including the Atlanta Olympic Games where he helped the Japanese team finish in 6th place with Beau and Take finishing 17th individually. In 1998 he competed at the WEG in Rome, in 1999 the European Championships in Luhmuhlen and in 2000 the Sydney Olympics after which he retired.  In all he completed 16 international 3 day events in the days of roads and tracks and weight cloths! All except two were at 3* level and above, six of which were Championships.  He was extremely well travelled having competed in Australia, The USA, New Zealand, Ireland and Europe.

Beau enjoyed a long, healthy and happy retirement at Take’s yard until he died peacefully at the age of 26 in January 2010. Special horses like him are few and far between and he will be sadly missed.
